Compassion, exploration, authentic connection, and humor are values that guide my personal and professional life. Much like an aspen forest, these pillars are connected and create a strong-rooted belief system that informs my worldview. These roots are connected but they are not static - much as we are not static creatures. I am inspired by our desire and willingness to explore, expand, and evolve our emotional, spiritual, sensual, and creative selves to live fuller and richer lives.

ABOUT MY APPROACH

I believe our past often informs our present, whether it’s our own personal past experiences, our family’s experiences passed down through generations or our cultural collective experiences. Our work together can offer a supportive container to dig down to the roots to see how these personal, generational, and collective experiences have informed your worldview and how you respond to it. This exploration helps us evolve both emotionally and behaviorally.

I believe that our bodies hold the stories of our past as well as the maps for our future. Through our work together, the body is invited into the sessions as a means to unlock past experiences and to (re)envision a future map.

We don’t live in isolation, and I believe we don’t heal in isolation either. All parts of yourself are invited into and honored in the therapeutic session. It is with this belief that I hold the client and therapist relationship - as collaborative and empowering, with the possibility for deep healing and growth through connection.

I work with individuals and couples living with chronic illness/disease, depression, anxiety, trauma, identity questions, & intimacy challenges. My client-base includes folks who are asexual, single, and partnered. I work with folks who identify as heterosexual, those who are in the queer community, and those who are exploring their identity. I work with folks who are in monogamous, open, and polyamorous relationships, as well as those who practice relationship anarchy. I work with folks who want support navigating their daily life, making big decisions and transitions, and developing their personal growing edges.

My approach is collaborative, holistic, and humanistic. I blend body-centered psychotherapy, mindfulness, and nature-based & movement-based therapies for all bodies based on individual ability/mobility. Creativity, empathy, humor, and curiosity are used to promote healing, empowerment, and connection. I offer a multicultural, social justice approach to explore the intersections of identities and to promote healing of generational trauma(s).

In addition to a wide variety of trauma-informed clinical counseling skills, I am trained in somatic psychotherapy, nature-based therapy, Brainspotting, EMDR, and Gestalt.
