Groups

Groups are a wonderful way for you to step outside of your comfort zone, expand your growing edges, and build community

Improv Therapy Group

Together we will explore spontaneous, transformative, and healing expressions using improvisational tools and embodied psychotherapy. Let’s bump up against our growing edges and dance with our shadow to see what wants to happen now! Collaborative play and improv games are designed to develop your skills, deepen your self/group awareness, and process sensations and emotions. Our bodies are magical instruments of expression, so let the magic flow!

**Group has ended. I hope to start a new group in 2023, if you're interested, please send me an email!**

Men's Group

For many men growing up in American culture, they were taught to be providers, tough, and non-emotional. Whether the lessons came from cultural representations or family messages from parents and extended family members, the impact can run deep, leaving men to struggle with connecting with their partner(s), uncomfortable dealing with their emotions or other’s emotions, quick to respond with anger or violence, struggle with unhealthy relationships to substances, and more.

The goals of this group are to:

  • Build a community of men who want to build a deeper connection to themselves and their external world

  • Learn how to identify, embody, and express the full range

  • Practice being with and moving emotions in healthy ways

  • Learn how to communicate your emotions and experiences in ways that fosters connection with self & others

  • Provide a safe space to practice being with our authentic self while in relationship with others

  • Develop skills that will allow you to be more present and engaged in your life

In this group we will:

  • Explore body-centered tools to uncover what’s really happening (It’s not usually what we think it is!)

  • Engage in the exploration process to discover what we really want (It’s not usually what we think we want!)

  • Actively engage with our own process and support others in their own process

  • Hold each other accountable with compassion and empathy

  • Empower each other to step into our power and to thrive in our personal and professional relationships

** All male-identifying individuals are welcomed to participate**

This group will begin in 2023. If you are interested, please reach out so you can be put on the participant list.

Meeting:

We will meet in person, weekly, for 90-minutes. Location in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a 10-week closed group for all male-identifying individuals.
